In a profound sense this is very true, life is eternal in every sense of reality, and death, merely a change of phase from one form into the next.
If life is to be dominated by the thoughts of a possible end to it, then that is not life. Life means life, and in its absolute sense life cannot have an idea of an end to it. Furthermore, if life has any meaningfulness in its creation then it may not have any beginning for which there was noting before, and for that matter, no end for which there would be nothing afterwards.
Life in this sense is an intermissive phase in eternity, like a tunnel, for instance, a phase where we could lose sight of eternity, as a closed place where we do lose sight of the skies above; life could be a prelude to some better form of reality in existence, but it certainly is not an ultimate conclusion … of what, for instance?

Different religions believe differently about eternal life. What it would be like.......again our finite minds can only make gropings in the dark. But the soul/spirit is supposed to be eternal. Whether created now by God (Islam/Christianity/Hebrewism) or existing since ancient times (Hinduism/Buddhism?/Jainism/other eastern religions) it is eternal always gathering experiences to be collated by ..........whom/what? Any how we are here and where shall we go after this life........all questions we hope to get answers. But you are right, eternal life HAS already started.

Yes, one thing is eternal life.
The other thing is that these meat bodies are only a fly by affair and last an average of 60 years or whatever. So you cant do anything long standing with them.
But life does go on, and sure there are reasons why we dont remember.

and this life is just a small part of it,the wisdom and the knowledge you gain in youre life will make youre eternal life.not that i don't belive in sprit,but what i call soul,is deep kwoledge.unkwon to you,but it's youre mision to promote it.and more kwolege you get,more closer you become to youre eternal life.

What would you do for eternity? Are there video games? Can you get online? Is there sex? Everything I've heard so far is would get really boring after about 1,326,684,309,352,978,247,682 years! Would 't you be dying for a dirt nap?
