we all know that pop has sold the most copies in terms of genres here, but pop died in the late 90's. with MJ madonna and all them boy bands but as of now which genre has taken over? hiphop, r&b or a mixture of both?

I saw recently that Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles reached No 72 recently. So that might be saying something.
