I think its weird, when ppl say no.....My boyfriend never had them, is he weird? Is he lying, because i dont think its possible to not have them with your first love?

Oh yea, I used to. I haven't had any for many many years now (but I'm old, worn out and jaded). Part of it probably has to do with being a little insecure about your own desirability--you want the love interest to like you so much but are a little afraid you'll say or do something real stupid, or the other person will suddenly figure out you aren't the wonderous person he/she has been thinking you are. I miss the butterflies and hope with all my heart that I get to experience that feeling at least once more before I die--it's just such a sweet, funny feeling that you just cannot bring on yourself, another person has to be "involved" to some degree. Maybe your bf is so self confident and sure about himself that he has no doubts that you like him and always will. You can tease him about what he's missing (only superior, ace-lovers get to have butterflies).

I'm still with my first love and have been for over a year. I still get butterflies when I see him.
I guess it could be different people because my butterflies are an excited feeling, my body really feels my emotions. It sounds weird but like when i'm angry my body shuts down or I get hot all over, when i'm excited or nervous and excited I get butterflies. When I'm sad i'll get tired.
Maybe some people can contain it???

Yes I had them...I think it is impossible not to...but we are girls! Maybe it's a little different for the guys!
