Bill Walton is listed at 6'11" although he is well over 7-feet tall because he refuses to be labeled a 7-footer since he believes 7-footers are freaks. If you look at the team pictures of the Boston Celtics in the 1980's, you will see that Walton is taller than Robert Parish, who is 7' tall. It is safe to say that Walton is at least close to 7'1" tall.

This is in contrast to the case of Hakeem Olajuwon, who is listed as 7'0". If you look at photos of him standing another 7-footer, you would see that he is shorter and is no taller than 6'11".

Wow interesting, maybe Kareem knee is bending just a slight bit or maybe its because Bill Walton has a bunch of hair. Maybe the camera is at a weird angle so it makes Bill look tall ? Or maybe Bill was like 7' or 7'1

He's officially listed at 6'11" but if you look at footages & pictures, its clear that he's taller than that.

I say he's more than 7' maybe a fraction over 7'1". As mentioned above, he refused to be referred to as a 7 footer, maybe thats the reason he's listed as 6'11".
