By the way- not the Lenny Kravitz one, same song, but who sang it originally?

I guess what I'm saying is- if you're saying Jimi Hendrix, please provide me some proof, because the majority seems to think so, yet I can't find any proof on this. Whereas I know for a fact The Guess Who did sing it.

The Guess Who did it originally, it was on their 1970 album American Woman

Lenny covered the song for the soundtrack to Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me

Jimi Hendrix sang the original, Lenny Kravitz did a remake.

Hendrix never recorded "American Woman"
you must be confusing it with "Foxy Lady".

The Guess Who originally released it and
Lenny did do a remake of it.
