I saw the Exorcist when it first came out back in the 70's...two of my friends couldnt finish it and I slept next to my parents bed for a couple of nights. Now, it looks laughable. I also found the original Alien very scary. The last flick that scared me was 23 days later, especially the scene where the main guy is in a church and bodies are all over the floor, and when he says "hello" two or three heads pop up and then you hear them running like mad dogs to get to the guy, OMG Im scaring myself just writing this!

Only two horror films scared the crap out of me and that's Return of the Living Dead, that was scary and gross! And also Final Destination, I didn't ride on a plane for nearly two years after I saw that

the excorcist-not just because of linda blairs excellent performance-but the film is based on actual events. whilst most other horrors are fiction.
