That really depends on two things.

1. What kind of fish and how big are they

2. Have you learned to maintain the tank and what it means to cycle a tank?

If you don't know, then the fish will most likely die. Here's a link that will help you out and save you many dead fish

It depends on what kind of fish you are getting. If they are goldfish, perhaps, they can fit in a 29 gallon tank. I have three goldfish right now in a 3 gallon tank. The most important thing about using a 29 gallon tank is that don't over-do the inside for it is crowded for 6 fish. Other than some fish gravel and some fake plants, they will do fine. Plus, my goldfish aren't that big so that's why they can fit into those small fish tanks. But for you, no need to worry.

This depends on what kind of fish they are. If they are 6 tetras then there is no problem. If they are 6 oscars then they can not go into a 29 gallon tank.

yes they can depending on their habits... there are aggressive and non-aggressive fish. If you mix the 2 different types you will eventually end up with dead fish. Try to keep all one type or the other. Also the more fish in the 29 gallon tank, the smaller the fish will be in size. Less fish- the bigger the fish.

I even have approximately 35 Koi and 75 or so Goldfish in a 10,000 gallon pond. specific, they are wonderful jointly, yet not in a 29 gallon tank. A 29 gallon tank is barely perfect for ONE effortless Goldfish, probably 2. If i assumed I had to concern a Koi to a 29 gallon tank, i might particularly consume it. that is organic torture.

It really depends on what type of fish you were thinking and their sizes. There are fish such as cichlids that grow four inches long but need spaces for territories. If you are just talking about 'regular community fish' (fish that are small and are peaceful [tetras and rasboras]) then you should be fine. You could add more fish but as for now, just add the six fish you wanted and let it settle for about 6 months then you could slowly start adding fish. Try not to put a lot of fish because ammonia and nitrite would spike and kill your fish. Nitrite and ammonia are toxic and can damage the fish's gills disabling it to breath.

If you have small fish (1-3 inches) then you should be fine. You might want to consider this a school of fish that you are getting so they are happy (if they are schooling fish only.

Good Luck and enjoy them. All of use enjoy them!

It depends on the size of the fish. The general rule is an inch of freshwater fish per every gallon of water, or for goldfish one inch of goldfish per every two gallons of water. Keep in mind this is MAX size. So you can have either about 30 inches of freshwater fish or 15 inches of goldfish.

depends on how big they get. If you add them make sure you add a dechlorinator like Seachem Prime which will detoxify ammonia, nitrites and nitrates, for up to 24 hours, I would suggest adding a bacteria starter as well, like Seachem Stability, Hagen Cycle, or Bio-Spira. The rule of thumb is one inch of fish per gallon of water this only applies IMO to fish that only reach 5 inches in lenght and under. Go by how big they will get unless you are positive you are going to upgrade to a bigger tank.
