That the campaigning has started too soon and by the time Nov. 2008 rolls around most people are going to be sick and tired of all of them.

Well, your statement probably has merit, fer sure.

Most people, especially those new to the voting process, probably aren't aware that all this noise going on right now is not serious. It is good theater and is done for TV.

The debates are laughable but, it does giver everyone a chance to say something.

It is only after all the "wannabes" drop out - usually right after the Iowa caucuses - that the serious and viable candidtates will get down to business.

No serious candidate is going to reveal his/her platform at this time. It would be foolish to do so. This is all foreplay.

Once the field is narrowed down, then it becomes real - and interesting. The debates will be lively and usually very, very interesting...tempers run high.....

The candidates will outline their platforms, answer REAL questions in REAL debates and get serious.

I hope the young voters will understand this and hang in there....taking everything with a grain of salt right now.

This is the earliest that campaigning has ever started so it is new to all of us. Just realize that most of the candidates you see are NOT viable and are only in the running to get face time on TV and attention from their constituents.

I agree. This is mostly the Democratic ones and I am getting tired of hearing how much money they have raised. This has got me checking and rechecking to see if they passed a law when no one was looking to allow them to just buy the presidency. So far I can neither confirm nor deny that there is a set price on the job of leader of the free world. It might be an e-bay auction but I haven't found it yet. I am not sure if they are buying it from Saudi Arabia or China either. Maybe they buy it from that country that owned all of our sea ports.
