tis really annoying beacause ive been chasing it around for a few days and i cant get close.

what i did: i went to sandgem town with the map with mesprit on the poketch. when you walk from sandgem town north, you will notice a small patch of grass. when you travel from sandgem town north, betwwen the two areas (sandgem and route 202) the mesprit will change locations. go into the patch of grass when the pic is in the area. you will most likely run into it. if no keep trying
*note* the mesprit changes locations after you batlle with it or miss catching it. it took me less than a day w/o the masterball. good luck

Use Mean Look or Block to prevent Mesprit from fleeing during battle.

you need to use an attack called mean look, or anything that will put it asleep. mean look will stop any pokemon from fleeing a battle but you need to keep that pokemon in. I have a gengar i could trade you but its only a level 34. I used it to catch mesprit though. if you wanna trade for it my fc is 1547 1668 3593 my name is Will

After I talked to it I walked into the first patch of grass and ran into it, but haven't seen it since. You have to just get lucky. Ride your bike up and down a long road with a lot of grass with your marking map on and eventually it'll pop up near you. Don't try to chase it down, just wait for it to come near you. Also, like the other guy said, use mean look or a Pokemon like wobuffet.

Be diligent, and try to predict where it will appear. I stuck around Jubilife City, because I saw that it liked to hang around that area. Everytime you leave or enter a city, it teleports to a different location. Good luck! ^_^

find two routes where mesprit transports and just run back and forth till it comes to you, worked for me with both mesprit and cerisila

use golbat with mean look
or wobbuffet
you shouldnt have to chase it for days

case it for like 5 mins dont fly or use dig you get it eventuly
