It's been a long time since a party failed, so I'd suspect they'll still be around. At this point, those who are voting Dem solely because of the war have probably unalterably made up thier minds, and those who still support the war are likewise not going to change thiers (they'll be really pissed about 'losing' it, though). So expect things in '08 to shake out about like '06. A Dem president is virtually a given - the Dems would have to put forth someone /worse/ than Kerry to lose, and that's hard to imagine - maybe Gravel could loose, maybe. Congress will have a firm but not overwhelming Democratic majority - not enough to override a veto, but then it won't need to.

You are a moron. The war is only a failure to those who prefer to keep their heads in the sand. I served 2 tours in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq, and have seen everything 1st hand unlike you who has only heard it on the news. The news stations only report the bad and are heavily biased. Look at how Yahoo even reports the news... notice how whenever they report we kill Iraqi's or Afghani's in a battle they are labelled "civilians" and not "combatants".. this is because the enemy wears no uniform. There is no way to distinguish whether an Iraqi is a combatant unless he is holding a gun, and by that time it may be too late. They hide in mosques to mount their attacks and use their women and children as sheilds.
I remember the day of sept 11th and the weeks afterwards, one of the news channels surveyed the people and an overwhelming percentage of the people (like close to 90%) felt that another terrorist attack was imminent and likely to happen very soon... nothing happened since.. why??? because we went on the offensive. You should thank God for Bush, because Clinton did nothing (USS Cole, and the 1st time the WTC was bombed) and John Kerry is a horse who would have pulled the troops, put them back in, pulled them again, then decide he doesn't want the presidency anymore and resigns.
What have you ever done to support or change your country? Have you ever held public office? Have you ever put yourself in harms way to serve your country? Have you done anything besides asking stupid questions that disrespect our country, our troops, and everyone who has ever died to give you the freedom to sit in the comfort of your home and play internet general. highly unlikely!

i think of the greater suitable question may well be, way is the only authentic Republican seen a perimeter candidate (Dr Paul IS a perimeter candidate while it comprises the GOP). although I help Dr Paul, i think he might make a greater suitable 0.33 social gathering candidate then a GOP. Bushco and the GOP have ruined their own social gathering with their great government develop and "do not something" approach on family members subject concerns (immigration, economic device, taxes, Social risk-free practices, Balanced funds, wellness care reform, Tort regulation, Securing the US Mexico border, campaign ethics and %regulation, power coverage, and so on and so on). people who think of DR Paul isn't a real Republican have not taken the time to coach themselves or considered his vote casting checklist...BTW each and every political candidate has their own psycho supporters, it rather is purely that media keys in in this group in Dr Paul's campaign.

No.
The ones up for reelection are jumping ship.
If they really had faith in what bush was doing they would stick by him.
It's all politics. The dirty little liars. They screwed the American people for their party. I will remember and I hope others do too.

Not in the Oval Office and not in majority leadership in the House and Senate. I live in a traditionally Rep. state and we be switching if they do.

They'll be around to sweep the steps of the rotunda or clean up around the latrines.
We can always use a few good dishwashers too, so long as they don't up and try to steal the flatware.
