Oh, it reminds me of many old sayings, most of which cannot be posted here out of decency. But, it brings to mind the child who is a product of bad parenting. Say anything to get anything, and do not worry about the consequences.

Shhhhhh, do not say "where is the beef", they will start another Witch Hunt, trying to find it. All them witch hunts, takes up more of their time than what they promised to do, guess they can not keep promises, so they witch hunt to smear and cover up for not doing their job they were suppose to do. That is one of the real reasons they have not got anything done, they are to busy trying to be sure a Republican want get elected, but it might come back to bite them in the lower back area.

I think we need to move to a different party system in this country because both sides are beyond repair in the eyes of the people. The new gallup poll just stated that less than 14 percent of americans are satisfied with congress and just over 20 percent are happy with the president. In any other job in this world, numbers like that alone would get u FIRED!! How in the world can either side recup from the loss of confidence they have bestowed on the PEOPLE?

If you have a minority party that will obstruct at all costs, and a president from the other party, pretty much anything can be brought to a halt. I'm glad they are starting some investigations and at least putting some pressure on Bush in Iraq.

Not really since they only took control of congress in January and it's only July they have only been in control for 7 months.
it's going to take time to fix the mess the Republicans made
it always does.
Daddy made a mess
Jr made a bigger mess
Democrats get to clean it up.

What comes immediately to mind is hillary holding a brightly colored "national" healthcare card on national t.v. as proud husband and THEN president bill looks on proudly.
All of America was going to be enrolled in this plan.
Needless to say they could not finish the job.

Are you saying you voted for a Democrat? And now feel betrayed? Be realistic enough to realize that a slim congressional majority is not enough to do the impossible. What they are successfully doing is calling the president to account, holding investigations, and making his stonewalling public. A number of Republicans have been convinced to oppose the war on Iraq. Progress is being made, albeit slowly.

The Dems were elected merely out of anger with the GOP. No one really expects them to get anything done.

It's not the fact they didn't do what they said, it's the fact that they didn't even try. Until we get rid of the politicians and get some citizen legislator's things will not change in D.C.
