multipy the (-) sign out so you would get...

2x^2 - 11x + 10 - 7x^2 +4x - 5

then combine like terms

2x^2 - 7x^2 - 11x + 4x +10 - 5

then you get...

-5x^2 - 7x + 5

"Solve" is used when there is an equation. This is not an equation as there is no = sign.
"Simplify" would be the correct expression to use here.
(2x² - 7x²) - 11x + 4x + 10 - 5
-5x² - 7x + 5

Do you mean solve the equation
(2x^2-11x+10)-(7x^2-4x+5) = 0 ?

If you do, first reduce (2x^2-11x+10)-(7x^2-4x+5).

(2x^2 - 11x + 10) - (7x^2 - 4x + 5)
2x^2 - 11x + 10 - 7x^2 + 4x - 5
- 5x^2 - 7x + 5

(2x^2 - 11x + 10) - (7x^2 - 4x + 5)

Group like terms:
= (2x^2 - 7x^2) + (-11x + 4x) + (10 - 5)
= -5x^2 - 7x + 5
