Its not Mitch fault that other teams don't want to deal....and its not his fault that Dr Buss is turning into Al Davis.

it's clear that mitch is one of THE worst GMs in the league and probably right now THE worst in the west after the lottery winners Seattle and Portland improved a lot with Durant and Oden.
mitch is known for being deliberate. which just doesn't fly for today's world. he had the chance to get Kidd and he didn't because he really thought Bynum was the future. Now the nets won't even think about trading Kidd and Bynum is still gonna be "that guy with potential." we saw caron become an all-star while butter fingers Kwame will NEVER be a 15-10 guy.
so now it's either O'Neal or Garnett. We don't have what it'll take to get Garnett and while I think Odom could give more and Bynum is not gonna be the great player everyone thinks he'll be, Kobe and O'Neal, a 20-10 player who is extremely injury prone won't be enough to take the Lakers past the first round. Kobe, O'Neal and Odom would be a different story. And while I love Fisher's emotion, is he the PG we need? No. He's a definite upgrade over Parker but he's not Kidd. He's not even Mo Williams. *sigh*
it's gonna be another tough year for laker fans folks.

The trade for Kwame was a joke. Hes a real albatross and makes it tough for the Lakers to make a deal. Next year we dont have to deal with Kwame's contract and Lamar Odom will still be trade bait and Bynums value will only increase.
Not only would we would be able to sign a top FA, we could also make a big trade.
Theres just not the cap room right now. Bynum is still an unproven commodity and kwame and radmonovich are dead weight.

Man,...............
" talkin about should have been released a long time ago",
forget kwame, lamar, and smush,
"BIT"...... opps, I almost broke one of the yahoo terms of service agreement. I meant to say "MITCH" should have been let go the second season after bringing in Lamar and Kwame, He lost the better 2 of the 3 players in the Miami/Shaq deal in Chuck Atkins & Caron Butler. Brought in a unemotional headcase like Kwame, beleives in a slacker of a player like Lamar, and actually thinks Luke Walton is a starter. Radmonovich (another 7ft 3point shooter who doesnt bang the boards!), my goodness if Seattle lets you go what does that tell you.
This guy just doesnt get it at all! We not only need good players , but they have to be warriors. But if your old enough to remember MITCH KUPCAKE( I like that one)'S playing days, he was the same as a player. He was nonagressive and heartless and stood around doing much of nothing!
Just like now. Some people never change!
