I've heard much talk about experience as it relates to the current crop of presidential candidates. What past job do you think is the most relevant on a candidates resume? A look at the past several presidents reveals usually governors and vice presidents get elected:
George Walker Bush - Former Governor of Texas
William Jefferson Clinton - Former Governor of Arkansas
George Herbert Walker Bush - Former Vice President
Ronald Wilson Reagan - Former Governor of California
James Earl Carter, Jr - Former Governor of Georgia
Gerald Ford - Former House Member/Succeeded to VP and then President (Never elected)
Richard Milhous Nixon - Former Vice President
Lyndon Baines Johnson - Former Vice President
John Fitzgerald Kennedy - Former US Senator

The leading current crop of candidates in both parties are either present or ex members of Congress and even one former city mayor is running? Is there such a thing as experience for President? Or is vision and intelligence more important?

Well the honest truth, all of them. A president should have experience, vision and Intelligence. As George w Bush has a lack of all. Only %31.2 of Texans approved and voted for him. %68.8 did not approve or did not have a better Candidate to vote for. As vision The man has never heard of it and As Intelligence well I do not believe he has more than a 90 I.Q.
A good president Should have a vision for better future of a country and should have the Intelligence to plan the Vision and executed . For a Good execution of the Intelligence vision he or she should have a great experience.

I think by "experience" most people mean "someone who has engaged in the down-and-dirty political process before". I would actually feel sorry for someone being thrust into the White House without knowing what kind of lousy, no-friend-in-sight mess they're going to experience.

Well I'd prefer vision and intelligence but I don't think we'll ever get out of power, corruption and lies. As long as the almighty dollar is the loudest speaker and we have the electoral college in place... and different states have different voting methods... we will continue this endless cycle of wars and greed and poverty and blind justice.
