I use PBS, NPR, BBC to get the real stories. Keith Olberman on MSNBC is the most honest of the ones you mentioned. Bush is censoring the US media though.

I have had some luck with MSNBC, but I usually just look at the headlines on my start page. Although, I once was unfortunate enough to catch a Fox News report. Let me just say that I would rather saw off my foot than have to endure that again.

I tend to look at all three as well as google search those topics I want information on. CNN and CBS tend to veer left where Fox pulls way right. Somewhere in between is the real truth.

I work at home and watch news programs throughout the day. I remember news surfing one day. Fox was monitoring Paris Hilton throughout the day and CNN was doing coverage and interviews related to Iraq. Fox may be the right wings friend, but is sinks down low and wastes time covering Anna Nicole and Paris type stories just like the rest of them.

Does anyone read all of the long articles? They are all about the same when it comes down to it. The first paragraph of a well written news story should tell the whole story and the rest is just detail if one is interested.

Do you really mean in depth? As in researched, documented factual news reporting? In that case I'd say MSNBC comes closest and they still have some ways to go. CNN is just barely in the race, and FOX is not even at the track.

msnbc has the most sources outside of itself and they are listed beside the article.
most articles are 3-4 pages long on it as well (web pages anyway.. never printed one off to compare)
also, on the msnbc page just click on the politics section.. no more fluff news.. it only shows politics after that.

Well, they all tend to get some of their in-depth information from Rueters and the Associated Press.

If you actually want news, just get it directly from the AP. That's where all the news agencies pick up their stories from anyways, and at least that way you get it without 'commentary' from either side of the political fence.
