But I was ridiculously old (in my teens) before I realised my Dad wasn't absolutely perfect and that he also had 'feet of clay' like everybody else.

George Best, a brilliant footballer the David Beckham of his time. and now there is only one idol for me and that is David Beckham not only brilliant on the pitch by also beatuiful in the flesh.

I always wanted to be a zoologist, so I'd have to say my idol was steve irwin. He had a happy family and a good job. Anyone that can do that and teach people something seems pretty great to me. I was so sad to see him go. take care and thanks for posting!

I loved Meg Ryan as a child, and I still do as an adult. I don't idolize her, but I adore her in all her movies. does that count?

mine was groucho marx and it made me a quick witted romantic which gets me in trouble some times because they dont understand the jokes from the early 40s and 50s form old movies but hes still the best of the best in my book..very funny man

I loved the tough guys...Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, & John Wayne. I even married someone who is just like them, so I'd say Yeah, they're still my favorites!
