man what a question.. the name hardcore is a bit vague, and what some would call punk, others would call hardcore
most of the best stuff was from the 70's and '80's
bands like..
Intense degree -u.k
filthy christians- sweden
minor threat- u.s.a
misfits-u.s.a
ciunas-Ireland
gorilla biscuits ( later became c.i.v) u.s.a
the u.k hardcore scene used to be the best in the world
when I was younger, there was some really great underground bands that used to play on saturday afternoons for next to nothing, and most were great and had some really mad names
sedition
pink turds in space
sofa head
jimmy savilles' wheelchair
etc.
if you ever get the chance, check out intense degree and filthy christians.. they were on earache records in the u,k and they were the best at the time
