what does it mean?

Simply, nothing. You took the test on-line and didn't read that the test is for entertainment purposes only. No on-line I.Q. can give a valid I.Q.

First, did you get this score online? Online IQ tests are not accurate predictors of your IQ. They are just FOR FUN. That said, if you got a 147, good for you! That means you're pretty clever, and you're probably pretty smart. You might take more online IQ tests, and average your scores to get a SLIGHTLY more accurate view of your IQ.
Second, true test of IQ have NOTHING to do with your age. If it's a valid test, it will test how SMART you are (in a manner of speaking) naturally. With age, only your knowledge changes, not your intelligence.
Third, if your IQ is 147, you should know that that means you're near-genius! (And you shouldn't need Yahoo!Answers to tell you that, lol.) Get yourself professionally tested, so you can claim it for a fact!

I'm seeing two test scores.
Not that there is any difference(in intelligence) between 146 and 147, but shouldn't someone of your IQ have picked up the discrepancy?

You have a 147 and can't figure it out?!

It's off the charts good for any age! But then again, online tests and IQ tests in general aren't too accurate. Take another one and you may get 100.

So I wouldn't go bragging about it.

Your age should not have anything to do with it, but 147 is normally considered VERY high

But, you need to remember that IQ scores don't mean very much, if anything. Performance is what counts. I was an active member in a MENSA chapter many years ago and was amazed at how many members complained that they couldn't understand why they weren't making more money, and why they were unhappy with their life.

So many other aspects of a person are so much more important.

First of all, age should not have anything to do with it. The IQ tests your intelligence, not how much you know, anyone can answer the questions.

Second of all, if you took it online, the results can be incorrect, even taking a couple and averaging them is still not completely accurate.

IQ tests are strange, not all have the same scale or difficulty so you can't rely on just one.

wow... with an IQ of 147 you would think you could figure that out on your own....

Don't put too much stock in IQ tests after a certain age... it may just mean that you are good at taking tests, have seen the questions before, or were brilliantly lucky. it also only measures your academic IQ.....

That is a high score indeed; it puts you in the top 0.15% of the total population. So you should be able to figure out problems that leave others stumped.
