No, I would not think that a young girl is a bimbo for getting pregnant. That is the sad thing here, the girl gets all the crap for being pregnant, while the guy who got her pregnant doesn't have to go through anything. It's very one-sided!
I think that they made a mistake and now they have a lot of work ahead of them with a baby and school/work.
People need to stop being so judgmental and worry about their own issues instead of putting down others for their mistakes.

I never said that. I just said that its too bad that a person who is not yet an adult is having children. They might have joys with the child, but its all about are the teen mothers ready for motherhood. High School alone is not enough education. You just can't survive COMFORTABLY without a college education.
The worse I saw was 2 girls in the 8th grade that were pregnant. One hid her pregnancy, but the other totally flaunted it. I wonder which of these 2 made a positive change in their life and the life of their child.
Hope this helps. Its too bad that we all are judgemental--even I am!!!!

It depends on who they were. I knew this one girl who got pregnant in grade 10. I grew up with her, and honestly she was a complete slut. Sorry to be so blunt, but she slept with every guy she dated and she was proud of it too. When she got pregnant she dropped out of school and I do not feel sorry for her to this day. She knew the consequences of sex, and she still took them so whatever floats her boat I guess.
On the other hand, I knew someone who got pregnant in her last year of high school and she had a boyfriend who both of them was their first time. They used birth control, but she still ended up getting pregnant. I don't look down on her because I know she just made a mistake.

honestly; i went to a pretty stuck up school, and we didnt have that situation. or at least not that anyone knew about. until my senior year! myself, another senior and a freshman all go pregnant at the same time; due within 3 months of each other. i know i personally didnt get any rude comments, i cant speak for the other 2 girls, but who knows what people said behind our backs anyway.
sorry after reading some answers, i NEED to add here. i was on birth control; had been for 5 years to regulate my period. took it daily at the same time, as prescribed; and no i was not on antibiotics. i was just in that low percentage that gets pregnant on BC. i had been with the guy for a LONG time, and i have NO regrets of having my son so young. i didnt ruin my life; i finished school, no i didnt go to college, but i still made enough money to support myself and my son ALONE without my boyfriends income before we decided to et married and have more children; now im a full time SAHM. i cant believe the NERVE of people to say it ruins your life, etc. its just awful to be so stereotypical. i wouldnt change a second of it for the world.

hi,
i would have to admit that i have been judgmental at times about girls who were pregnant in school, not sure if i called them names but i do remember think a few interesting names for them. the good thing about it is that we both saw our faults and decided to do something about it. you allowed yourself to grow from the experience and learn from it an you would not do that now. i did the same but took it a step feather, i have taught my children to not judge a person by what they see on the serface there for caring out my beliefs through them.

I honestly didn't know of anyone in my high school who was pregnant. I went to a super rich prissy school, though (not proud of that, by the way, nor am I rich), so those girls probably got pulled out of the school as soon as their parents found out or something. I don't think I would have thought that about someone...I was having sex in high school, too, and it could very well have been me. I would have thought I was jinxing myself if I thought bad things about other people.

Nope, I just felt bad for them because they were so young. What was kinda ironic is some girl wrote an article in the school paper on how teens should use protection and stuff, gave a big lecture, and then next year she got pregnant because she didnt use protection, she got put down for that but yea. Who am I to pass judgement, it's their life.

I only looked down upon the one's who'd drop out of school, hand the kid over to parents to deal with, later on allow thier child to be around alcohol while mommy was having a party, I knew this girl who dropped out of high school just because she got pregnant went back twice and said school wasn't for her and never graduated with ne thing now she's a pot head and so is the man she's dating and she lets her child around the pot and the drinking friends when ever they are partying and she refuses to get a job and says that's what welfare's for. WOW... is all I can say. I actually do have respect for the teens who get pregnant and they stay in school and decide they are going to do everything possible to give thier unplanned child the best life they can. GOOD for those pregnant teens.

Jackie,
Hmmm, with a name of "Chastity", don't they sell belts that are called that? Actually, I think most high school girls should be fitted for a chastity belt. Too many of them getting pregnant. Its sad.

No. I have never thought that about a girl. Three good reasons why I didn't:
1. She could have been raped or forced.
2. Lots of girls and boys were having sex. If getting pregnant makes you a bimbo, then ANYONE having sex is a bimbo. If you believe that then fine, but if you were doing it... then guess what?
3. Everyone makes mistakes. Doesn't mean you need to call them names or think down on them. That's just selfish, vain, and shallow.
