It is true that your friend should get a new teacher.
The Russians got there before us (but with an un-manned spacecraft). They left a laser reflector.
Americans went there with people. Films were taken. Laser reflectors were left behind.
Nowadays, both American and Russian reflectors are used to measure the exact distance to the Moon (we shine lasers through specialised telescopes).
Some Flat Earth believers thought that they would make themselves feel important by pointing out "errors" on the films. All the so-called "errors" have been explained.
When the communications from the Moon were heard live on Earth, the Russians could also hear them and their antennas could tell the direction from which radio signals came. If it had been a fake, they would have known right away. And, at that time, they would not have participated in an American scam...
Up to that point, they had been first in every space endeavour: first satellite (Spoutnik), first man in space, first pictures of the far side of the Moon, first soft landing on the Moon (but un-manned) and they were preparing to send people to the Moon. If they had had any indication that the Apollo landings were fake, they would have told everyone.

That teacher SHOULD be fired like a previous person stated. Seriously, if that is in fact what the teacher is teaching, report them to your local school board and have them take the necessary action. Why? Cause if that teacher is qualified to teach real science, then they would KNOW the Apollo missions were real and humans HAVE walked on the surface of the Moon. Every bit of "proof" that it was all a hoax or conspiracy can be scientifically shown to be the ramblings of uneducated morons.
Even if not scientifically, get with your US history teacher and ask them just how much the populace of that decade truly loved JFK and were set on the task of "achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the earth." JFK wanted it to happen and the US population made it happen through NASA. Plus, the whole Cold War competition between US and the USSR. We had to achieve what they didn't just to prove we were better.

If it was faked, the Russians would have busted us for that decades ago. There are numerous websites that debunk all the "fake" moon landing arguments - with facts and logic to back it up. It would be far easier to actually go to the moon than to try to fake a moon journey and keep thousands silent across the globe. Keep in mind, Russia was watching the entire mission with immense interest, eager for us to fail. Now why do you suppose that they didn't say the mission was a fake? Because they were watching our astronauts on the moon!

If that is true, the Roswell aliens killed Kennedy.
It is just the kookiest conspiracy theory ever conceived, and it has been debunked countless times.
You can find more information on this website:

I think the best evidence is that if the moon landings had been faked, the Russians would have told everyone within seconds of the fake launch. You can bet they were monitoring that pretty closely.

Your friend's teacher is a teacher of conspiracy-theory lunacy, not science. I suggest she report that teacher to the principal for incompetence and get him fired before he spews out any more CRAP on unsuspecting students!

I'll add my vote. Please report this to the administration of your friend's school RIGHT AWAY.
The teacher you mention should be disciplined, re-trained, or, more likely, fired and removed from the teaching profession.
The content of school courses is prescribed by law in every state, and it is against the law to teach incorrect information. The teacher you describe is breaking the law.

It's possible (although not probably, nobody knows for sure), there are a lot of websites dedicated to trying to prove that the entire moon landing was just a conspiracy. However, many of the facts presented on these websites have been disproved so be careful what you believe.

It is your responsibility to report that teacher AT ONCE to the authorities. If you don't, YOU may be responsible for allowing a whole year of students to become morons.
