Typically when a person asks how my day is or how's it going, I don't usually like to them the common answer. For example, I feel saying "ok" or "not much" is just too plain and distasteful. So in my case, I like to come up with the most interesting responses I can that apply to the moment and how I'm "truly" feeling (notice quotations around feeling). But that's just me, I like to be different in just about almost every aspect of my life. Be unique.

I TELL them what's up (sometimes I embellish too).. Man.. my life is miserable.. my girlfriend just broke up with me, my dog got run over by a car.. I forgot to pay the trash bill, so it's been on the curb for the last three weeks.. I fell down and chipped a tooth, THAT'S going to cost me like $2000.. My car wouldn't start this morning, so I had to ride the damn bus. The roof is leaking.....

Not many people ask me "what's up" anymore.. They usually just say "Hi" or "Good morning"

Shrug your shoulders then go into anything and everything that's going on in your life for the next 20 min! lol j/k j/k It's just a casual way of saying "hey!" or "How's it going?" The normal response would be "nothing much". It's not really a conversation starter. Just something ppl say as they're passing by.

Usually, "Not much dude." Lately I've been treating it as not even a question, and answering it with a "what's up?" of my own.

I tell them what's going on with me at that time. Then I ask what's up with them.
