tiger tiger tiger tiger tiger tiger tiger TIGER!!!!
'cause tigers are more agile and pouncy while a crocodile can only win if it is able to clamp down and do the twist.
in this case (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU8DDYz68kM), I say the buffalo wins :D

Ok, let's weigh this out.........
Crocs (full grown).........Stealthy, lightning fast first strikes, tough skin and bony plating, large powerful jaws, an arsenal of teeth, just plain powerful, quick in short bursts, prehistoric.
Tiger (full frown Siberian).......also stealthy, fast and quick all the time, razor sharp claws, strong jaws (although not like a crocs), sharp teeth (much sharper than a crocs), also very powerful, a more refined predator.
Ok looking at that, it kinda sounds like they are even. However, I think this all comes down to in which the way the confrontation occurred.
Scenario 1..........The tiger lazily approaches a body of water in order to get a drink. A croc lays in waiting. The croc, with lightning speed strikes, and gets a hold of the big cat. Now, if the croc has got him by the head, it is over right then and there. No amount of squirming and fighting that the tiger is going to do is going to help. However, let's say for arguments sake, that the tiger reacts quick enough and jumps and the croc gets him by the leg. The croc will quickly try to get the tiger back into the water and preform a death roll. I think that at this point, the tiger would lose his leg. I don't think that the croc would get the whole tiger, but I think the tiger would lose his life either way.
Scenario 2.........A croc is away from the water and wanders into tiger country. The tiger spots the croc, and stealthily approaches, gauging his attack. The croc is unaware of the tiger's approach and the tiger pounces on the crocs back. It digs in deep with it's claws and bites with it's powerful jaw on the back of the tiger's neck. The croc begins rolling and slashing desperately, eventually making the tiger lose its grip and retreat. The croc goes into a defensive position with it's jaws wide open, awaiting another attack. I think the tiger walks away at this point uninjured. The croc has some injuries but none are life threatening and returns to the water.
In either case, I think the croc wins!!!!!!!
Granted, a very large tiger against a smaller croc would yield different results. Likewise, a tiger against a full frown Nile, would not stand a chance in either scenario. This is based on adult species of similar size.
I respect both creatures for the powerful predators that they are!!!!

Depends what type of a crocodile. I think a smaller species of crocodile could get taken down by a tiger. However if a tiger went up against a nile crocodile or a saltwater crocodile I think that things would be different. Lions in Africa have been eaten by the Nile Crocodile and they always are wary of them when they drink by the water. No offense to the tiger, which is a very formidable predatory animal, but I think that large species of crocodiles are much more successful in the world. They have been around since the time of the dinosaurs. With their armored hide and quick strike not to mention powerful jaws they can take down most larger animals. Against a tiger I feel that a large crocodile would prevail in the end since it is a perfect killing machine.

The fact is that a crocodile waits under water near a bank and when it sees an animal that is close...it springs out and grabs the animal by the leg and drags it in and drowns it,then it will eat it. It will do the same to a tiger and the crcodile would win.

A list of filmed examples on YouTube shows the Crocodile to be the winner most often. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4r3WEIJyR8
In one case the tiger was reported to be the winner. I suspect that these are all examples of animals of mature size and in their fighting prime. A crocodile's back is covered with bony plates just under the skin, it is unlikely that a tiger could penetrate this type of armor on a large specimen. On the other hand I could see tigers preying on small crocodiles regularly. That's just like grabbing a big lizard for lunch, no big deal. So your answer may be connected to the relative size of the combatants.

well... it depends on the species of both the crocodile and the tiger. in addition you have to put in consideration which one attacked first.
but i think the crocodile will win because the crocodile can harm the tiger but i don't think the tiger can do any think with the thick skin of the cocodile.

Considering that the tiger is an excellent swimmer and feeds on crocs in it's natural environment I would have to say the tiger. Although there may be a 1 in 1000000 chance that the croc would sneak up and ambush the tiger
