What do you think? Should radio talk shows give equal time to both sides of an issue?

I know this would wreak havoc on Rush Limbaugh. I'm sure there are others as well, so give me what your thoughts are on this issue.

The White House is against the fairness doctrine. Anytime the White House is against something, it makes me wonder.

Everyone should do as Jake S suggests in his answer. I did and I'm glad I did.

Net Neutrality is important so that free speech can be maintained.

WELL THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MIND WHEN I HEAR THE WORDS "FAIRNESS" DOCTRINE ARE THINGS LIKE, "PATRIOT" ACT , "NO" CHILD LEFT BEHIND , "WAR" ON DRUGS. THEY SOUND GOOD ON THE SURFACE BUT WHAT IS THE FINE PRINT ON THESE? I THINK THAT NOT "BOTH" , BUT ALL SIDES SHOULD GET EQUAL TIME. YOU SEE, BOTH SIDES OF A ROTTEN APPLE ARE BAD SIDES. YOU NEED TO TAKE A LOOK AT ANOTHER APPLE. THANKS FOR BRINGING THIS TO MY ATTENTION, SMELLS FISHY.

We have only five days left to defend a free and open Internet
at the FCC. The agency needs to hear from you about Net
Neutrality -- the principle that stops AT&T, Verizon and Comcast
from controlling where you can go online.

Thousands of people have already told their stories (see below)
urging the FCC to protect Net Neutrality. Now it's your turn:

Tell the FCC to Save the Internet:

You need to act now before the FCC closes its comment period. If
we flood them with comments in support of Net Neutrality, the
FCC will be pressed to stand up to the giant phone and cable
companies that seek to undermine free choice on the Web.

Pass this on please.

No, talk radio should not be *forced* to present both sides of an issue. Anyone who forms an opinion based only on what the hear from talk radio doesn't deserve to have an opinion.

The Left tried to make a presence in talk radio with Air America and failed. Too bad, so sad...cry me a river. If they think they can try again with a profitable venture, then they will.

I don't particularly think so, but it wouldn't matter to me one way or the other. People should be intelligent enough to understand (especially with todays 'us vs. them' attitude) that anything they hear needs validation.
If the FCC does regulate it, I would also like to see opponents of corporations get to have equal response time to the stupid commercials being put out. Response to Bud Light commercial:

Understand that most people who consume a lot of our product generally don't have a 30 inch waste and 20 inch biceps. Usually you will have a 40+ inch waste and not enough energy to walk one mile. Oh, and your liver is probably starting to fail. Smile and have a beer!

The leftist movement tried their hand at talk radio, but it went bust. I just think people dont wanna hear their crap. People dont wanna hear crap from either side, but the stuff they fling from the left is what you might say 'dangerous', its just that the crap the repub sling is less offensive than the dems, and let me tell you that was hard to say, since I'm a Democrat

I don't know whether we can outlaw prejudice and deception.
But I do think that some disclaimer should be offered by talk radio and television shows that say their reporting news when in fact they have an agenda and are not being truthful.
We have free speech in this country, but I'm not in favor of propaganda being passed off as fact.

All sides should be given equal opportunity to have their own radio show. Then let the market decide.
