You do not need any qualifications or skills to become an MP. All you need is the ability to screw up and turn a good idea into a crap one. This will guarantee endless re-elections to parliament, especially if you do not rock the boat or threaten to tip over the apple cart.
Become a total party stooge and vote with the whips on every issue and you'll be okay.
Innit.

Well first you should stop saying innit. There are no qualifiactions needed to become an MP, you just need to convince the people of an area to vote for you and hope that you have more votes than any other candidate.

1. You can put up as an independent I think you need at least two residents of the constituency to sign your form, you pay a deposit which you will lose if you do not get a certain percentage of the vote
2. You can approach a political party work for them let them know your ambitions and the may or may not select you as their candidate.
Qualifications no specific ones but you need to express yourself more clearly than you have here. indeed probably more clearly than I have done myself

You sound perfectly qualified to me!
Apart from the bit about how you are "good at listening to people". Thats not generally an MP's strong point in my experience.
If your "Criminal Convicshun" is for fraud, perjury, moneylaundering, tax evasion or something similar I'd say you sound ideal.

You don't actually need any Qualifications to become an MP you just need to sign up to a political party - the one that you believe in and you need to have good political believes and ideas and persuade people to vote for you.
look at this link it could be helpful
