My 9 month old has a cold. At least I think it is a cold. She had a fever, but it broke last night. She does have a viral infection in her throat, which she is on meds for.

She has a cough, a small nasal congestion.

Instead of leaving the a/c on, can I use her ceiling fan to keep her cool w/o adding to her cold problems? We don't have a humidifier and I can't get one for a few days.

Thanks.

you betcha, I would just clean it to make sure no dust starts flying around to add to it, I also may give her a bath if you have that Johnsons vapor bath, or if run the hot shower for a little bit and sit with her in the bathroom. Poor girl!!! You are doing great!!

My son is 5 a million/2 months previous and purely have been given his first ailment the different day, he became rather congested and coughing alot exceedingly at night. So the DR stated an previous trend steam room. bypass on your bathing room and activate the bathe to as warm as you will get it. close the door and carry your little guy for roughly 20 minutes and purely permit that steam injury up all that congestion. then get some saline nostril drops(non medicated so which you are able to use them oftentimes) and positioned one drop in each and every nostril and permit it sit down for roughly 2 minutes, then get your nostril bulb sucky difficulty and suck all that mucus out. be certain you suck each and every of the mucas out before mattress and feedings. If he swallows alot of it , it will make him nauseous and he will throw up. The dr pronounced that the vicks will help yet to maintain it from stressful his epidermis upload lotion to it and rub it on. Now he won't like the nostril drops once you do it and he prob. will turn crimson and cough and stuff yet afterit's throughout he can breathe so it rather is nicely worth it. i understand it rather is challenging watching your little guy bypass by using this yet purely kep up what your doing and he would be nice. toddlers are greater resiliant than what we predict of.... and in case you have a humidifier it works wonders...additionally if he sleeps in a crib positioned a pillow below the mattress the place his head rests so as that he wont be flat on his bak suckingall that gunk into his lungs...purely a splash larger ought to do the trick. and make effective he does not have a temp over a hundred.3 or he desires some infant tylenol. wish this allows..good luck and Sorry you ought to journey this, it rather is the worste feeling in the worldwide to not have the skill to cause them to sense greater suitable insantly.

She should be ok. Just don't have the fan at a fast speed. Put on a slow speed, just enough to cool the room.

I hope she gets better soon.

Of course! I would just switch it off before you go to bed.
