......what did you think of that preview for that movie where the people are having that going away party for that guy, and then all of the sudden all hell breaks loose and you see Manhattan burst into flames and the Statue of Liberty's head smashes into the ground?

Great Special effects, but if you didn't like the original series, you won't like the movie...I thought it was good...

I thought it was certainly mysterious, but was disappointed to see it will be released in January. I mean, what good movie has EVER been released in January? Plus, the budget is only thirty million dollars, which isn't very promising.
I looked it up and no one seems to know what it's about or its true name. It is being called "Cloverfield" but that isn't the actual title. I'm assuming it is either about the apocalypse (which would be awesome) or another giant monster (which would be okay) or maybe a combination of the two.

Gonna be a jj abrams film codenamed (right now) "Cloverfield." You can read about it on wikipedia.
I think it's going to be a monster flick, ala Godzilla, and rumor has it that it is being shot entirely with handheld vidcams, like Blair Witch Project.
I hope that conceit is used with restraint, because otherwise I am sending Abrams a bill for headache powder after I see it.

Yes it was interesting, but they didn't have a name or anything for it so I cannot look up any mention of it. Did they remake Godzilla again?
