I have a son that is two his name is Luke. We are about to have a little girl in about a month. My husband is a star wars fan. He wants to name our girl Leia Grace- so she can be his lil princess and he can have a Luke and Leia. I like the name, but is it too weird to be named after star wars? I was thinking about maybe spelling it differently like laya or laeya. What do you think or should we just pick something else?

It may seem cute when they are little kids to have Star Wars names, but when they get older it may be a burden. I know two siblings named Will and Grace and they see it as an embarassment. How about Leah Grace instead of Leia Grace? Good luck and God bless!

As soon as I started reading it, I thought about suggesting Leia as the girl's name! Leia Grace is very pretty name. My friend had a friend named Luke Skywalker, so you can't feel too bad about Luke and Leia. Just don't tell them they're actually named after the characters until they're old enough to laugh. If they ask, you just liked the names. ~conspiratorial wink~

There are many things worse than having your kids named after characters from Star Wars. I think spelling it differently is a wonderful idea. I have got a 3rd? cousin named Laston because he was the Last One... yes... Hick/Redneck family that lives in Kansas... I'm just glad I got a normal name. I do think that Leia is pretty. I like it spelled Laeya. Good luck!!

That is so incredibly nerdy. Don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty big nerd myself, but I hate Star Wars so I can't really relate. If you do end up with a Luke and a Leia, expect copius amounts of teasing.

Sienna is an Italian name meaning the color reddish-brown. It's a very pretty name. I see a child who is soft-spoken and shy, gentle and contented. As a woman she will be well liked because of her gentle nature. She may be soft-spoken but she will be well adjusted because she is contented with life. A Autumn child for sure, a child belonging to the earth with a quiet dignity. Reese on the other hand rings of sophistication, worldly, very spontaneous. Absolutely the opposite of Sienna. Reese gives an air of being on the go, flighty, tom-boyish. Combining the two leaves me to think the child will probably be a wilful child with varying degrees of moods. Perhaps finding a more compatible name for Sienna would tone down the auras I see. That's what I see. Congratulations.

I like Bella. It means beautiful in Italian. But if your husband really wants to name his daughter that I would spell it Laya. Also too think about what kids will say when she gets into school. Kids are sooo cruel these days,

Laya would be cute- but think of all the teasing they will get and just her - like 'Lay Ya' - stuff like that...not to mention the star wars thing

i would choose something else or use leia as her middle name....grace leia is cute...naming them luke and leia would be star wars overkill, no matter how big of a fan your hubby is!
