Alright well first i want to no if i can run such a card. I no my computer has a PCI and AGP slot so im ok there. First..wat does it mean when it says PCI Express X16 and would that work with my computer?...

1 Gig ram
Intel Pentium 4
CPU 2.80 GHz
WIndows xp home edition.

Im not all that impressive with computers. So all the help would be nice.Thanks!

what do u mean...i cant run it. The PCI slot is not the same as PCI-E

Geforce 7900GS has an AGP version:

Just be sure you have a power supply with strong +12V rail (18 amps). That card is a 50 watter and draws mainly from the +12V rail.

PCI express is currently the fastest interface for 3D graphics and other devices. PCI is different from PCIe. PCI is an old interface format that is slowly being overtaken by USB. PCI is now TOO SLOW for 3D graphics acceleration and practically useless for many new games.

You have an AGP slot, not a PCI Express slot, so you need to find a card that is AGP. Second, you need to check the recomended power supply requirement listed for the card and make sure you have a big enough power supply.
