I guess that really depends on the person and the situation What I mean is if someone falls in love with someone for the first time and it works out and they get married then yes they can fall in love only once .
If a person falls in love and then it doesn't work out and later in life finds another and falls in love with them then I guess it would mean they fall in love twice. I hope you can understand what I am trying to say.

No, love is a verb (DC Talk) and one can be attracted and fall in love with multiple persons...maybe even at the same time.
