Try to socialize thinking? I mean they can't think on their own, so when will they try to tell us that thinking is bad for us and we should just leave that up to the government.

Legally enforced political correctness, (The thought police on college campuses) the fairness doctrine, Lawyers who will sue at the drop of an incautious remark, the welfare state, dumbing down school and college courses to the point my poodle could pass. Oh yes, leave it all to BIG GOVERNEMENT, they will take care of everything, no need to use your head.

What are the sources to your claims? Where are you getting the impression that the left band together against free thought while the right is a group of non conformists? Perhaps it is because you side with the right, that you see the dems as a distinguishable group, different from yourself, and tend to group them together whether conciously or not, while the right wingers you just identify with and dont question. When they say something you agree with, because you identify with them, you consider it fact, but when the Dems express their views, it seems odd to you because you dont share their opinion, and are flustered by a significant portion of the country differing from your opinion. Im a Dem, and I really have no idea what youre talking about though. I consider me and most liberals I know to be much more about free thought and speech. Which is why you're entitled to hold whatever generalizations you have in your head as truth, but it is a diservice to yourself and your country to hold that as truth. Afterall, I have not seen so much censorship, bowing down to the FCC, prying on americans, invasion of privacy, anywhere else in my life as I see in this Right Wing led administration.

Not everyone can think as clearly as Bush and his neo-con, oil industry, military-industrial complex, end times evangeligal, buds. They've managed to push us to the edge of the Apocalypse (and keep us from thinking about it) very effectively. Only problem is: some of us don't want to go, and will fight it very hard.

The left has taken over the school systems. Liberals ignore facts that back up anything that goes against their liberal agenda's. Conservatives can also be blamed for this, however, liberals act as if they don't ignore large amounts of truth.

They are already trying to start that process. It is coming under the guise of the fairness doctrine.
