my friends keep telling me that i steal their music just cuz i have the bands they like on my ipod. they think that ill look at my friends ipods to steal their music. one of my friends said i stole his music but he was the one that put it on my ipod. can u really steal music?

i think its more sarcastic when they tell you that... you cant actually steal their music... your just listening to the same thing... its not "stealing"

Well if he put it on your ipod then it's hardly stolen, if you went and stole say his cd collection then yes you did steal it, but illegal downloading is also counted as stealing.

Yes you can steal music, but only if they had it first.

You can steal music if you obtain copyrighted material illegally. (like Napster in the old days.)

That is just plain sillyness. Sometimes people are downright snobby about "their" music, and like to pretend to be oh so cool for "discovering" some band or liking them before you did.

These people are pathetic. Just laugh at them, and listen to anything you dang well please. :)

Your normal friends will think it's cool when you hear about a band from them and decide you like it.
