Six months is normal for a first raise. If you are a good worker, you should get a raise. If you are a great worker, you should get a bigger raise.

I got 2 significant raises in 1 year. The first was a standard raise, the second I asked for after my performance evaluation...this is always a good time to do it, if you are a good worker and get a good eval. I suggest you ask for a little more than you want also, so you have room to negotiate. You may be surprised, in my case they didn't try to talk me down (but then I felt like I should have asked for more! LOL)

I'd wait another couple months. Then make a list of the things you have done especially well and things that are over and above what's required of you, and talk to him about it.
It's reasonably typical to get a raise once a year, although that depends on where you are working.

Just ask him, say most business's give you a 3 month probabtion period when they 1st hire you after that they realize that you are a good or bad worker, if you are a good worker just ask

Go and just talk to him/her about it. If you truly deserve it your boss will give you one. Don't kiss butt or schmooze, just get down to brass tacks and tell em how it is. Good luck i am sure you deserve it.
