What are the effects/side-effects to an eating disorder? bulimia? aneorixa? mental, emotional, physical? web-sites anything.
Just asking because my 'friend' is going through it and she wanted to know.

i've had an eating disorder & yeah, the results are mental & physical. but mostly mental. like i was so depressed & so i binged & binges & then fasted & fasted. i even cut myself. sure i lost 20 pounds. but i gained it back. but the emotional scars will probably be there forever. i dont advise anyone have it

Mentally and emotionally, no matter how sick and disgusting their body would have become, the person with the disorder will continually believe they need to lose fat. Usually they'll feel it's the only thing in life they can control (their food intake), but they fail to realize the sickness starts to control them. Their confidence will sink so low, and chances are even their grades in school. They usually retreat from their family and friends.
Physically, with anorexia girls might stop getting their period (if they had one), grow excess body hair (because their fat is gone, and the body needs to be kept warm), and they'll become so weak and fragile. With bulimia, their teeth will start to rot from the acid of their puke.
And in the end it'll lead to death if not treated as soon as possible.

Heart failure and death. If you're lucky, just cancer of the throat or esophagus. Go to your homepage, and type in bulimia, And/or anorexia. Do some investigation with your computer. Good luck. :)

the affects are that when u eat u throw up on purpous to be thin right away. u look like a skeleton with skin stretched on and when u like in a mirror u think ur fat
