try to find a retired umpire, as far as plays and tips they have seen it all

I would def. either get a women who played/plays over a male who played/plays. Although the games are virtually the same there are some differences that the male who only played baseball would know nothing about. For example if the pitcher had a question about mechanics, the male baseball player would have no idea.

i love softball!!
im on a u 18 team, anyways, i personally like our younger coaches who graduated a couple of years ago in their 20's, because they are fun and immature, but can get the job done and they know what they are doing! good luck

You need to go with the best canidiate not by who they are, i have been coached by both, go with your gut, and i have coached both, someone who understands them and can motivate them to play well
