I just asked the same question to see if the same people said the same thing and to make sure that it did, and everybody had the same answer, no. But you're right, we should get a point for whenever somebody gives us a star because that's just giving us credit in which we deserve because we wrote something that people liked so it just makes total sense!! I give stars to good questions, they are free and I have a certain number to give away each day. It lets the person that asked the question know, that I appreciate them, and their question.
I do not have many stars because I do not ask a lot of questions, but I think that would be a great idea....thank you

no it wouldn't be fair because stars doesn't prove your knowledge it's not a real challenge to get like top contributor or higher level some people just begged for free star.

no, then there would a lot of game pointing going on. gaining points for no valid reason. points should be gained for doing somethiing worthwhile. now the way it's set up points for best answer and thumbing up is cool.
