This would take about an hour to give you an excellent answer, and anyway people will just come along and expand on the answer (always do on this category). In a nutshell, the Nazi's first started deporting Jews from Germany throughout the mid to late 30's. However around 1941-42 this was becoming increasingly difficult, what with the second world war being inconveniently in the way. A Nazi by the name of Reinhard Heindrick chaired an infamous meeting to solve the "Jewish Question". It was decided to incorporate ideas for mass ethnic cleansing of Jews and other 'untemencshen' (sub-humans) which was termed the final solution

The Nazis had a problem they called "the Jewish Question". The extermination of the Jews, through use of concentration and death camps, was the "Final Solution" to "the Jewish Question".
It just boggles the mind how anyone can think any person is such a problem based upon their race and/or religion. It REALLY boggles the mind that the only solution is genocide. Okay, so I was not a citizen of Germany after WWI ended and never suffered through the conditions of their country at that time, but I still could just never think anyone is a problem because of physical characteristics or what religion they believe in. And, I could never arrive at the "solution" of wiping them out for being born a certain way.
It isn't how or where or whatever that a person is born, it's what they do afterwards that matters. Rapists, serial killers, and other similar deviants, for example, SHOULD be wiped out; but that's just a personal opinion.

The 'Final Soloution' was the destruction of the Jewish Influence in Europe. I would suggest you watch 'Conspiracy' by the BBC over the Wanassee Conferance from winter 1941 for more information, it is very acurate to the few remaining documents found over this and covers the whole subject and decisions made.
Don't forget it was not just the Jews who where persecuted by the Nazis regieme.

the so called final solution, was to rid Germany of its Jewish masters, who were fronted by the french, and persecuted the Germans since 1918, while Russia and Britain turned a blind eye. even though Churchill did want to unite with Germany and attack Russia in the very early 1920's. the Jews ran the news papers, the theatres, and the legal businesses. they had Germany tied up, and persecuted everyday Germans who couldn't even afford a loaf of bread.

The final solution was to re-establish the empire of Rome. The Jews have a long history of controlling wealth in the World, therefore this could not be accomplished if the Jews were free to bankrupt the plan.
I reality we all know that Jews don't control, radio, tv, banks etc...right?
