Weasel politicians from the Republican party didn't like Fred because he didn't play the role of a politician, they called him a maverick. But real conservatives loved him and his voting record. That he doesn't goose-step along with the GOPs pet causes says that he is a man that can unite this country under a conservative umbrella.

in reality Fred is a women folk guy, nevertheless if he fights Islamic terrorism, cuts taxes and stomps liberals like the single which asked this question then i could vote for him regardless of if he took the oath of place of work in drag. I as a conservative do no longer choose human beings via sexual decision and an identical is going for all of the conservatives i know. you haven't any longer any theory how conservatives think of and no i did no longer hear it on talk radio.

not at all....I dont have to agree with every single issue with someone I vote for.
What is important is he voted MOSTLY with conservatives.
Personally, I like Thompson much more than any other GOP canidate besides Huckabee. And I dont think Huckabee is electable. Also Thompson is WAY more conservative than Rudy or McCain
For the person who asked about his military record......He played many military rolls in movies....laugh...however that makes him more qualified than Hillary or Obama when you are talking about military experience....lol

Thanks for the article link. I like Thompson even more now that I know he got Trent Lott mad.
There is no such thing as a perfect candidate who I (or you) agree with 100%. I am not worried about Thompson, I know what I am getting into if I vote for him. I consider myself a libertarian/conservative and will probably vote for Thompson in this presidential race.
Furthermore, I am glad to see he can be independent of his party- a good trait in a leader. That means we aren't voting for a follower or a sheep who can be corralled into agreement when his principles differ from those of his party.
Lastly, I will vote for Thompson because he is serious about federalism and the balance of powers in our government. And I feel very comfortable with my vote (unlike when I voted for Bush in 2000).

They are concerned because the media has pointed out recently that he used to work as a lobbyist for a pro-abortion group in the 90s.
