I have been asked by our pastor to present the farewell speech to a member of our clergy who is leaving our church to take another position elsewhere. He is a remarkable person and will truly be missed by all. Never given remarks of this type before and want to do a great job with the presentation. Remarks should not last longer than 3 to 5 minutes. Help!!!!

Can't write your speech for you, but here are some suggestions:

1) Describe the many good things he has done for the members of your church and for the community.
2) Thank him for all the things he has done.
3) Tell him how much he will be missed.
4) Send good thoughts (or blessings) to him in the future.
