Will killing as many as possible ever result in stopping them?

Do/can we cut off their source of funding?

Well, you can stop funding by cutiing down the amount of oil the U.S. buys from countries like saudi arabia. This is because the schools for al-qaida and Islam radicals get funding from the governments. And where do the governments get their money, why from them selling us oil!!

considering that we ARE funding them, of course we can cut the source of funding to them.

How do we stop the threat of terrorism? We mind our own business and pay attention to our own people. We train our military to serve in case a war is threatened on US, not so we can start a war halfway around the world.

killing them doesn't work.. someone will always be there to take their place ..... it takes a few things at the same time to effectively hamper terrorism

1: surgery attacks on known cells.. blow 'em up, take 'em out.. whatever.. we have the technology.. it slows them some, usually enough.

2: Education.. an educated population is less likely to fall pray to being brain washed or fooled into being a terrorist.. so less people willing to be the one that blows themselves up.

3: Intelligence.. ours is lacking here in the US.. we need presidents that use the CIA correctly and not as their private army

4: Homeland security.. I mean come on.. ours is still laughable.

fix these and you'll see a drastic drop in terrorism in one generation.

You never can eliminate "terrorism" as a possible tactic. You cannot declare war on a tactic. Sure, if you have identified an active terrorist, you need to arrest and/or kill him. Why we haven't gone after Osama Bin Laden continues to boggle me. But you can't legitimately go after "theoretical terrorists" unless you have pretty devastating intelligence. I mean, seriously, do you want to go into foreign countries and kill people who just MIGHT be terrorists? That sounds a lot like terrorism to me.

Funding can't be cut either, unless you know who is funding and what they're funding. But that's hard to prove because money is fungible. You can't truly trace money, as much as our governments want to act like they can. All you know is that it changed hands, but if you try to trace down every dollar that gets to a terrorist organization, and follow it back to its past holders, every one of us would be in jail, and every bank in the world would be shuttered.

I suggest you carefully study some of the answers.

We can cut off their funding, but our government cannot seem to get its act together, perhaps because it is too bloated to function productively.

Killing lots just prolongs the war. It may last a few hundred years, and we have the power to make it last thousands of years or only a few decades. Seems to me what our government is doing will help make it last thousands of years.

There will always be terrorists, the best we can hope for is killing off as many as we can. Most terrorists kill people simple because they don't have the same beliefs as them. Staying out of their business will NOT do any good, because they couldn't care less.

There will always be homeless people in the world, yet we still spend billions on that.

Irish Americans were funding the IRA and they were terrorising the UK for years.
If you go all out to kill as many as possible - you are going to create Martyrs - and it will solve nothing - these people are fanatics - they will come back even stronger to make their point - they have no morals whatsoever - they do not care who they kill.

The good thing about killing your enemy is that they can never come back.

Unfortunately for this country, the Dems think you can win a war by sharing a hug and a smile.

Win the war in Iraq, secure our borders, leave the Patriot Act intact.

Pretty much three things the liberals oppose...

...and they wonder why Americans call them weak on terror. They are more worried about letting dudes marry each other than about protecting my family.
