because the ignorant are too ignorant to realize they don't know as much as they think they know. Absolutely, ignorance is bliss.

People who know there is more to learn try to avoid definitive answers to things because margins of error and incorrectness abound. As for the those filled with "certainty", perhaps they are simply too sophomoric to know that there are alternative explanations to everything. Ignorance is bliss actually refers to someone who is happier not knowing the truth than knowing it or living a lie, rather than facing harsh realities (Maybe). Great question.

Damm!!!
Your questions are sooooo good!!!
And "Yes" ignorance is bliss. Just look at the obviously miserable people in this world. At least being ignorant they don't realize that they are really hiding behind doubt.

good question. b/c those who know are filled with doubt because what they know is that nothing is certain, hence the doubt.

the ignorant believe prescribed things, so they are only certain in the falsities, but not in an actual reality.

ignorance is bliss until it shatters in your face.

I suspect that it arises from the fact that the more one learns, the more one is impressed with how much one doesn't know.
