whoever insntalled my system barried the bax and i need to fix one of my celinoids

Typically, if the property isn't too big, the valves are close to the backflow. If you poke around, or dig following the mainline, you should find it within 3 feet. You could rent a wire locator. That would be a sure way to find it.

It sounds like you need to trace the lines back to the manifold. If there is a valve box you should be able to find if this way.

An inexpensive way to find water underground is divining rods, if you know how to use them. I don't understand how they work but I do know they work very well.

Find where the water line and the electrical wiring leave the house. Using a metal rod, probe the area from the house outwards. I can't imagine it being buried too deep.
