I know what your saying, I don't appreciate people saying it to me so I don't tell other people to do it either. I think, if people were feeling the way your feeling it would be a whole different story.

I was under the impression that people come here to ask questions so to get other peoples opinions. Those who said "calm down" sound like they were trying to be helpful , not rude or put you down. When someone I know is upset, angry or sad, I say just calm down and we'll get through this together. You can't ask a question and only get answers that suit your taste or opinion. you have to be ready for a plethera of opinions and advise. Simply ignore those you don't agree with. If you already know the answer that you think is right, don't ask the question on here if you expect everyone to go along with you. That's what makes this sight interesting.....the variety of opinions.

Sometimes when a person is asking a question and they seem to be extremely emotional, or frantically upset or repeating themselves and coming across as desperate, then it is good advice to tell them to calm down. It's not like the answerer is not allowing them their emotions, but when you do calm down a little it's easier to look at all your options and choose what's best for you. Anyway, no one can control how you feel - when they tell you to feel a certain way it's just words on the screen, right? No one is controlling you in any way.

You need to calm down.
JUST JOKING.
I understand you, I do. Even small signs of irritation you just can't hide are blown way out of proportion sometimes by some @ss that can feel better about himself because of it. It can even be used as a game. Meanwhile, 30 minutes later, the same @ss is blowing his roof at some other person. But, that was IRL. Not in here.

That sounds very annoying. I hate it when people tell me that. It's like "F U! How are you going to tell me to calm down before you even know whats up?" Then again if you are always stressed out you blood pressure will always be high then you have a higher chance of heart attach.

look dont ask a question if you're bi tch about the answers you get...you should know that people are very immature here and not everybody is going to give you the answers that you want...the people who tell you to calm down just want to be nice and make you feel better...like i said if you cant take that then dont ask questions
