When I turn the key on my Craftsman riding mower, there's no sound, nothing happens. It was running ok earlier. It was hard to start, but then ran fine until I got it stuck and had to stop it to get it out of the hole.

You need to have your battery checked and go from there.

More than likely you either jarred a connection loose or broke/disconnected one of the safety switches. There is one for the clutch/brake, one for the driver under the seat and one on the mower deck engage lever.

Nashvilleguy has your solution - test your battery for amount of voltage connected as is and then disconnect and test it. Also clean your connection clamps, tighten and try cranking her again. Try another battery afterwards - if it doesn't start then your solenoid or relay inline maybe shot.

Check all of the wires and their connections and is your battery at full charge?(12 volt battery should read at 26.6 volts on a volt meter at full charge) if your tractor is 5 or more yrs. old you should take the float bowl off the base of the carb and clean it and the float real good because films build up on these parts and affects the performance.
