Bloody Mary is older and more intimidating! I never heard of Candyman til Clive Barker came out with the movie.

Well Candyman is based on a short story by Clive Barker found in his "Books of Bloods" series. The short is absoluely brilliant ansd pretty frightning in my opinion (and I don't frighten easily) Bloody Mary is an Urban Legend, that in my opinion was never really that scary. Though given the right circumstances and proper story telling I am sure would be scary, I just ahven't heard it told very well before.

I have to agree with most people Bloody Mary. Not just the fact that the story gave me a few nightmares as a kid. But also in reading stories about ghosts and hauntings I learned that mirrors are considered doorways to spirits.
