if Im wearing a jacket its in my shoulder holster....if not its between the seat and the console.
For Sweet Suzy....no its not illegal to carry a loaded gun in your car. These laws vary from state to state. However if you have a Conceiled Carry permit, which I do, you can carry a loaded gun.
Also many states allow you to carry a loaded gun in your car without a permit. My state allows carrying a loaded gun for any legal gun owner as long as you are on a journey.

My husband and I don't own a gun. I know for a fact that if you had a handgun in your car and it was loaded, it would be illegal to do this. If the cops would pull you over for speeding or another traffic violation and they found the gun in your car, you would be arrested. It's not illegal to have a gun in your car, as long as it's not loaded. We feel guns are unsafe. If someone had to use it and you didn't know how to fire it off, or use it properly you could end up killing someone else, or injure yourself badly. We have a security system in our home, in case a burglary happened. The intruder would come in the home and a very loud alarm would sound off, and it goes to a special area, where they could call 911 or the police and someone would immediately come out to our house to help.

I always kept mine in my purse, it stayed loaded. I would only cock it when I pulled it out. Oh yeah, I got locked up for that, she was huge though!!!
