My best friend (female) was there for me and very supportive. I don't know what my life would have been like if I didn't have her during my coming out process. She's my number one hag! :)
I told my older brother several months later (it might have even been over a year after my boyfriend and I were together). He was very supportive as well. And that surprised me because up until the day I told him...he would always refer to gays as "*******." But now...I haven't heard that word from him in four years.

Only my sister and my dad. My mom and brother won't talk about it. I never bring anyone around or talk about it with family, other than my sister. Every one of my friends was fine with it, except one, who told me I would burn in hell. Naturally he is the one who also told me to "go to church and pray" and "read the bible" and "this is the devil at work" etc. - he's always one to judge others, and act like he's all the perfect Christian, and homosexuality is a sin - as if HE is perfect??? Nope, he sure does covet others, gossip, download music files illegally, etc - typical!

My friends. They were quite passionate about getting me dates 6 months after I came out and they still introduce me to guys on occasion.

All of my friends, my sister and one of my aunts were *very* supportive.
The rest of my family took a "love the sinner, hate the sin" approach. They all still treat me the same, but it's an unsaid rule that I don't talk about my personal life with them.

My 70 year old aunt in Germany. However, she somewhat asumed it all her life that I was gay. Nevertheless, I came out very late in my life. It took two failed heterosexual marriages for me to come to the conclusion. Now, I am happily married to my life long partner. I hope to get old with her.

I hate supportive behaviour. It feels like an uncomfortable reminder. I sort of like they way all my friends reacted. "okay."
