my period is a week late, did a pregnancy test at the doctors office today came back negative?

Then they did the blood test and also came back negative. They said to come back in five days and test again. Could I be pregnant? My breasts are tender, I've been crampy, I'm tired, emotional, nautious at times, and my belly looks pregnant and bloated. I'm worried, about 6 months I had a ectopic pregnancy . I just want to know what is going on with my body!

It sounds like you ovulated late so now your period is late, or if you got pregnant, it's too early to tell still.

The doctor was right to suggest you give it another week and then test again if your period doesn't show up.

If it's still negative at that point, you and your doctor can decide what to do next. It's possible you'll just skip a month.

Could still be pregnant.. this is why they are telling u to come back.. Although a blood test usually tells early on, it's actually not like that for every woman..so hopefully the hcg will def be up by then if ur prego and they can tell by a blood test in 5 days GL!!!

Being a week late, would put you 21 days past ovulation, and any test would be positive by now, especailly a blood test. You must have ovulated really late this cycle. Ovulation can be thrown off by a variety of things. I track my temperatures so I know exactly when my period is due since I know when I ovulated.

You are not pregnant don't be dramatic it will just be harder for you when you start your period the blood test in negative so your not pregnant have a glass of wine and chill out. Testing a lot won't change the results you have PMS if you were preg. it would be way to soon to have symptoms you would be less that 2 weeks along so it is likely from PMS.
