I picked up hitch hikers, but I do not any more. I hitch hiked when I ran away as a teenager and many people gave me a ride and they were decent people. So I felt like I should pay that favor back for being kept from a bad person picking me up.

Gave a man a ride a few blocks who had a bad leg and was waiting at a gas station. He wlaked to the gas station but could not make it back so I helped him out.

Gave a homeless guy some muesli bars, fresh carrots, bed socks, a pillow, a blanket, a beanie and gloves.

Two guys needed enough gasoline so they could go to the next town to pick up their paychecks. The service stn. would not let them have it. I paid the $2.30 for them.

Let 2 guys on Harleys stay at my house once when they were coming thru my state from Colorado. It was pouring rain (10 inches) and no motel in town. They were very nice and no, we didn't have sex....

I've given "beggars" some loose change...never enough to get drugs or alcohol...but enough to get a snack or soft drink...
