...ie the chrysalis is the screenplay

..and if youre lucky...

in a burst of movement [shooting], it breaks open to become a butterfly

but as a screenplay in itself, its an indeterminate half-creature, a schrodinger limbo thing!

do you want your words in stone..or would you be happy to burn the pages on a bonfire once the film is made....the eggsac is used up...the rocket boosters have got voyager into space..

Well, I'll tell ya...

---your best bet is to write the movie you want to see down on paper, in a format that other folks in the business will readily read and understand.

As far as attitude, just remain aware that any movie is a collaborative effort, and even if you're an auteur, you won't end up with the vision you imagined, and there's no way to guarantee your audience will give two hoots about what you've imagined in the first place.

In any event, write your best, share your vision the best you know how, don't stint your creativity. That's how good movies start to evolve.

You're in luck.Writing happens to be my best talent and someday I'll become a writer. The best attitude to have is rather a cocky one.You should always be saying to yourself that you have the best story in the world and don't let no one tell you otherwise.
