we are building a mower. It runs, but the vacuum hose blows instead of sucks. it is messing up the choke and the fuel pump, and me and a vietnam war vet who has worked on mowers since he was 15 can't figure it out, any suggestions??

it turned out that the issue had nothing to do with the vacuum. we had bought the mower frame from the local school district. we put the engine on the gas tank that was on the frame, and the frame's tank had too small of a hole on the bottom that goes to the carburetor! thanks anyway everyone.

The guy that i help got up at midnight last night and looked at the 2 tanks and drained the one and put the other tank on.

Go to outdoordistributors.com, look up your engine model number. It will give you an exploded view of the engine. You might be able to figure it out from that.
